On October 1, 2018 I was laying on my exercise mat in my workout room at home. I had just finished a good stretch, however was feeling very unproductive and couldn’t quite decide what to do next on my schedule. The next thing I remember was drifting off to sleep in a deep state of relaxation.
Upon awakening I saw straight above me an open vision of a maze on the ceiling of my workout room. However there was a spider moving throughout this maze. I remember thinking “This is crazy!. Why am I seeing a spider in a maze on my ceiling? Spiders live in a web; certainly not a maze!” Then suddenly it disappeared. It was then that I recalled some prophetic words spoken over me by my prophet about visions that the Lord would begin giving me during the day.
Therefore I immediately began to ask the Holy Spirit what He was trying to tell me. He gave me Proverbs 25:2 It is the glory of God to conceal a matter; to search out a matter is the glory of kings. So I googled whether or not the Bible speaks of a spider and to my surprise:
Proverbs 30:24 Four things on earth are small yet they are extremely wise. Proverbs 30:28 KJV The spider taketh hold with her hands, and is in king’s palaces.
Additionally I discovered a devotional written by Emmanuel Higgins: The spider might be small, but by taking hold of the work that was nearest, it found itself in “kings palaces”: If we take up and accomplish the work that is nearest to us: if we are faithful to do the little and humblest tasks, it is then that God can trust us with greater responsibilities, and greater tasks.” Well said Emmanuel Higgins; whoever you are!
God certainly got my attention with a spider in a maze. He is always speaking!
