An Awakening

Please allow me to share how God worked recently to renew His Spirit within me. Although raw and difficult, it was beautiful and healing.

The Spirit of the Lord guides us into all truth:

John 16:13 But when He, the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on His own; He will speak only what He hears, and He will tell you what is yet to come.

Psalms 139:7-12 Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens you are there; If I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,” even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for a darkness is a light to you.

I can personally tell you that ever since I have received a greater measure of His Holy Spirit, my hunger for more of Him and walk with Him will never be the same. His manifested presence is always guiding my path with His light. Under His presence all fear is gone, under His presence His truth is revealed. Absolutely nothing counterfeit, corrupt or sinful can remain uncleansed in His presence.

The Lord has supernaturally and powerfully opened my eyes to the Spiritual world around me. Although this has been going on for some time now, He accelerated this process into me literally being led outside in the dark of night where He turned the front of one of our garage doors into an ongoing series of visions like a motion picture showing me events from my life. In that He revealed every painful thing that happened to me as well as every forgotten sin as far back as I have been alive.

At the end of that profoundly painful experience that led me into repentance for things that I either thought I had already repented for and things that I had tucked away, I found myself asking “Why? Why me Lord? “Why am I even still alive? Why am I here? Why am I worthy? I am not worthy.” He then showed me this large vision of the cross with Him hanging having the crown of thorns on His head. He said, “This is why”. “Lord Why was I chosen for such a time as this”? I asked. He then showed me my great cloud of witnesses. All the ones that have gone before me, from my closest family members to far distant ancestors that I had no knowledge of. He said some of these have given their lives while on earth to serve me greatly. But all are cheering you on and praying great declarations over your journey here on earth.

He also has shown me that it is because of all my own trials and suffering that He has equipped me to see others through His eyes, hear others through His ears and speak to others through His voice. It is giving me a growing compassion for not only the hurting and broken, but the vilest of sinners which equips us to love and forgive unconditionally.

Psalm 139:23-24 Search me God, and know my heart, test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

Psalm 139:17 How precious to me are your thoughts, Oh God! How vast is the sum of them.

The Lord has given me glimpses not only of the past, but also into the days to come. Some of which are wonderful and others, a heavy burden to carry, but I am reminded of the weight of the world on Christ’s shoulders as He journeyed to the cross. This my friend is ours to carry as we seek to become more like Jesus, our Savior.

Ephesians 3:20 (paraphrased) I can do immeasurably more than all I ask or imagine, because of His power at work within me.

Recently my husband and I were walking on our community’s beautiful bike trail, I looked around me seeing God’s beauty in a whole new way. As I see the pictures God has supernaturally drawn (literally) above and below me, I realize once again just how much He loves us! He wants us to enjoy living in Him. He wants us to have fun in the Kingdom. Who am I that He would be mindful of me? I am totally overwhelmed by His presence and beauty.

I surrender all. I surrender all, All to thee my blessed Savior. I surrender all. Take me and use me Lord in whatever way you choose. I lay my life at your feet, wholly and completely surrendered to you.

Thank you for being transparent & brave. Tears began pouring as the Holy Spirit confirmed your words in your experience & mine. So humbling. There is no place for pride. Only in knowing Him.

I know not many within our sphere if influence have been awakened. However we can declare this is the time for God to have His way in our lives!

  3. Hmm it looks like your site ate my first comment (it was extremely long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I had written and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog. I as well am an aspiring blog blogger but I’m still new to everything. Do you have any helpful hints for first-time blog writers? I’d genuinely appreciate it.
